Tale of the Week
EBONY AND IVORY
Tireless Cinnamon Trust volunteer Maggie (dog walker, short term fosterer, transporter, recruiter, and cat carer!) who had been Ebony’s dog walker was happy to take Ebony to her lifelong foster home with Phil and Sue out in the countryside. Maggie told us: “I stayed for an hour or so to make sure she was settled and to pass on all the information I could. Ebony roamed about, going upstairs and generally exploring her new surroundings. The house is delightful and just across the road from a beautiful wooded area with bluebells and lots of interesting things to explore. They are only a five-minute walk from the beach.” I called them the following day to see how the first 24 hours had gone. Suffice to say they are completely in love with Ebony and she is clearly the apple of their eyes. Phil rang me on Wednesday to give me an update. Apparently they can barely walk her because everyone in the town wants to stop and say hello to her. Ebony is eating well, sleeping well and is apparently generally very happy. I am sure Irene would be delighted with this arrangement, knowing that Ebony is loved and contented. I am also sure that Ebony will never forget Irene.” Just watch out for those pristine ivory chair covers, Ebony! There’s a good girl! 0 Comments
