1. ANIMAL WELFARE MANAGER
(circa £20,000 depending on experience)
About Us
The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist national charity for elderly and terminally ill people and their much needed companion animals. We have two unique home-from-home sanctuaries for bereaved pets, no kennels or cages, current residents are dogs, cats, ponies and goats. And we have over 600 pets in long-term (for life) foster homes.
About the Job
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this post chiefly entails advising short and long term fosterers nationwide regarding all aspects of their foster pet’s care; liaising with vets nationwide regarding treatment of foster pets in line with the Trust’s protocols and ethos; helping as required at either sanctuary in the manager’s absence. Opportunity to train in alternative therapies – homoeopathy, herbal medicine and acupuncture.
Salary £20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience. Rent free cottage, pension scheme, 4 weeks holiday per annum. 40 hour week.
About You
A VN or RCVS qualification is imperative. You will have at least two years experience at a senior level, be self-motivated and well organised, a good communicator with IT skills and a team player. You will empathise with and be passionate about the work of the Cinnamon Trust.
